Our much loved pre-Christmas open house is back, and we would be delighted to see you there.

At the beginning of September the whole team headed out to celebrate Becca turning 30, with a gorgeous meal and cocktails at The Botanist in Bournemouth. You might even spot a familiar face from our past in the photos!

What a year it has been for Becca, and we are so happy to have her back in the full swing of salon life, producing her usual standard of outstanding craftsmanship. Her signature calligraphy cutting is as beautiful as ever, and her blonding and colour work is something really special.

We are so happy to have her back and celebrate with her as a team.

With October just around the corner, we decided the shop window needed a bit of a refresh and a celebration, so out came the pumpkins!

Mary and Heidi took on the challenge after watching a video online that made the whole thing look wonderfully simple. Reader, it was not. There was a lot of wrestling involved, but we got there in the end and were so pleased with our centrepiece.

Sadly it was rather short lived. The pumpkins had other ideas and, about a week later, the whole thing had gently collapsed in on itself. Nature one, Mary and Heidi nil.

So if you were lucky enough to see it in the flesh, consider yourself one of the few! For everyone else, the photos are all that remain of our finest hour. We will be back next year, possibly with something a little less perishable.

September and into October has a way of settling things.

The mornings turn cooler, the diary fills back up, and after a summer of everything being a little bit loose, the routine comes back. It is the closest thing to a fresh start that the year offers outside of January.
